   Hon. William K. Bell        

Presiding Circuit Judge

     

          Judge Bell was elected to the Circuit Judge position in Madison County in November of 2002 and handles much of the domestic relations cases here.  He received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama.  Judge Bell was in private practice in Huntsville from 1972 until his election in 2002.  He is a member of the State Bar Association and the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association, for which he has served as treasurer (1973), Vice-President (1994) and President (1995).  Judge Bell has been a member of the Madison County Judicial Commission, a Special Assistant to the Alabama Attorney General and the Madison County District Attorney.  He is also a certified Domestic Relations Mediator for Alabama and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1993.  Judge Bell, as the presiding circuit judge, is responsible for supervising the operation of the courts and its

 
 

employees and attempts to insure that the Courts run in the most efficient and just manner.
