     Hon. Loyd H. Little, Jr.        

                   Circuit Judge

            Judge Little has been a Circuit Judge in Madison County since 1995.  He was the Presiding Circuit Judge from 2002 to 2004.  Judge Little received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in 1972.  Prior to becoming a judge, he was a partner in the law firm of Berry, Ables, Tatum and Baxter as a trial attorney for 22 years.  During his law practice he served as President and member of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association.  Judge Little also served as President and Member of Huntsville-Madison County Lawyer Referral and information Service and the Bar Association's Charitable Fund.  He was elected by the Bar Association to the Judicial Commission of Madison County, which fills judgeship vacancies that occur before the expiration of a term of office.  Judge Little is involved in the community as a member, president and director of associations such as The Volunteer Center, The Community Advisory Committee and the Greater Huntsville Foundation, the Senior Center, The Interfaith Missions Service, and the Huntsville Rotary Club
